An 18 wheeler accident has occurred at I-10 and the West Loop at 12:15 today. This big rig truck was hauling a long piece of concrete and for some reason crashed on the on-ramp.The semitruck’s cab and one of its trailers launched over and immediately the highway was covered with the truck’s load.

I-10 to 610 Loop ramp was closed while clean up crews worked to erradicate the mess. The ramp is not expected to reopen until 8 p.m. Wednesday. At this time, no injuries were reported, however the cause of the 18 wheeler accident is under investigation.

An 18 Wheeler Accident on Sunday has caused 1-10 to remain closed due to the nature of the chemical spilled. A bus driver and one student were transported to the hospital in Copiah County after an 18 wheeler colided with a school bus on the way to a Georgetown school Wednesday morning. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, says the school bus pulled out in front of the moving Sanderson Farm 18 wheeler causing the accident just outside of Georgetown, MS.

A large transport bus, owned by a wholly owned subsidiary of Greyhound, crashed Tuesday morning about 9:45am just south of San Antonio. FIlled mostly with Spring Breakers on their way to Matamoras, Mexico, at least 2 are dead and 11 others critically injured. A fatal bus crash possibly caused by faulty equipment.

According to records the bus had been properly maintained, properly serviced, and had recently been inspected. The bus driver reported hearing a loud pop prior to the bus jerking off the road and heading head first into a ditch and flipping on its side. The drive shaft is suspected as faulty equipment and further investigation is pending.

With people pinned under the bus, severely injured and being dug out by off-duty police officers, 2 died and 2 are missing.
